ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and improve function. It is done by inserting sterilized, stainless-steel needles (that are as fine as a human hair) into specific points on the body to prevent or treat a wide variety of illnesses.

Acupuncture has proven to be effective therapy for treating musculoskeletal problems such as lower back, neck, shoulder, sciatica, etc. Acupuncture regards most of musculoskeletal problems as an obstruction of energy (Qi) which, untreated, can lead to pain, soreness, swelling, and stiffness in muscles and joints. If the obstruction is not cleared the normal functionality can be affected.

In a healthy body, a life energy “Qi” flows in a smooth and balanced way through a series of channels called meridians that connect all of our major organs. According to Chinese medical theory, disturbance to the flow of Qi in any of these channels will lead to problems.
